Background & Experience

Steve has over 40 years of real estate appraisal experience, which gives him valuable skill set, insight and knowledge to assist buyers and sellers in acquiring or selling all types of real estate, as well as assisting investors and developers in analyzing potential real estate projects.

Prior to joining NAI Sioux Falls, Steve founded Shaykett Appraisal Company, Inc., in Sioux Falls in 1984, as a full service appraisal company after spending 10 years in Kansas City as an appraiser and at the same time a broker with Shaykett Agency in Miller, South Dakota. Steve has owned and developed office, retail, industrial and multi-family properties in Sioux Falls over the last 40 years individually or as the managing partner. Steve also has ownership in farm properties.

Education

Steve graduated from the University of South Dakota with a major in Business Administration.
