Scope of Service Experience
Tim Steuernol serves as Executive Vice President for NAI Capital specializing in the sale of commercial properties throughout Los Angeles County and Southern California. He represents investors on an exclusive basis and has closed over $260 million in multifamily, affordable housing, mixed-use, and land transactions since 2006.
Over the course of his career Steuernol has focused heavily in the market rate and affordable housing sectors selling multi-housing units. He has developed relationships in the private sector with high net worth individuals; and has worked with public and private partnerships, local and national syndicators, affordable housing developers, REIT’s, and other accredited investors.
He understands the complex nature of the affordable housing industry having worked on the disposition and acquisition of existing tax credit properties; many of which are near the end of their compliance periods or at risk of losing affordability designations. Steuernol has also assisted developers in the acquisition of land suitable for new construction of affordable housing for seniors and large families.
Steuernol’s success as a broker is founded in his ability to balance his knowledge of the market with strong analytical skills and extensive sales experience. He is committed to building trusted long lasting relationships with clients through strong work ethic, integrity, and accountability.
Background & Experience
While at NAI Capital, Tim has consistently been one of the company’s top performing brokers having earned Capital Club awards in 2014, 2015, & 2016. Steuernol was the #2 producing broker in the South Bay office in 2015. He was the #1 producer in the South Bay office in 2016 and ranked #5 in production amongst all the brokers at the firm.
Prior to joining NAI Capital, he worked as a Senior Advisor at Sperry Van Ness. While at SVN he was consistently recognized with the Achiever Award for ranking among the top percentile of brokers nationwide.
Steuernol also has a background in advertising and public relations having worked as an account manager with Riester~Robb Advertising for several years. He commenced his career in real estate with the Carlier Company where he conducted property and land development analysis for a residential development firm.
Bachelor's degree in Business and Communication from the University of Arizona.
