Background & Experience
George Cohen is a native Savannahian, and an entrepreneur at heart. Whether working for the family business “Lady Jane” in his youth or starting several successful retail businesses, George has an excellent working knowledge of operating and promoting a retail business.
Later in his career, George was a Land Use and Commercial Development Consultant in the Wireless Telecommunications Industry for 10 years. Heavily involved in site selection, governmental permitting & rezoning, George applies these consolatory skills to assist users, developers & investors in acquiring Retail, Industrial & other various commercial properties.
George serves as a Commissioner on the Chatham County Historic Preservation Commission. His appointment to that Board was extended through 2010 and has currently been appointed to the position of Vice-Chairman.
In his spare time, George is a host for a Jazz music radio show called “Cooking with Coastal Jazz.” In addition, George and his lovely wife Ruth, are proud parents of three children ages 18, 14, and 13.
