Background & Experience
Mr. Sarath is a Senior Director at NAI Queens, where he focuses on Investment Sales in the New York metropolitan area, specializing throughout the borough of Queens. Previously, he was a Director in the Capital Markets Group of Cushman & Wakefield (formerly Massey Knakal) and has worked in the Southern Queens market since 2000. To date, he has sold more than 220 buildings and loans with an aggregate value of $620 million.
In 2007, Mr. Sarath was responsible for the sale of a 14 building, 943 unit, Queens multi-family portfolio valued at $118 million. Another notable transaction he orchestrated was bringing The Home Depot to the Jamaica Center. The transaction consisted of five property owners and a footprint of more than 120,000 square feet. It took three and a half years to consummate and totaled $75 million in ground lease and sales transactions. In 2014, he sold 163-05 Archer Avenue, a 720,000 buildable square feet development site in Downtown Jamaica for $22 million.
Mr. Sarath has been a consistent source for real estate publications including The New York Times, Wall Street Journal, Real Estate Weekly, The Real Deal, Crain’s, Queens Tribune and the Queens Courier.
