Bill has is a seasoned veteran in office and investment services for clients and institutional buyers and sellers. His vast knowledge and long term experience brings a significant amount of resources to NAI Premier.
Background & Experience
In his more than 40-year career in the commercial real estate and banking industries, Bill Murray has proven time and time again that he possesses the qualities clients can depend on to make the best possible investment decisions. Knowledge, expertise, integrity and a proven track record are attributes Mr. Murray brings to the table in every transaction, and clients from around the world have benefited from his broad base of experience.

Through years of involvement with clients with diverse and challenging requirements, Bill has become adept at providing advisory services in all corporate real estate and real estate lending arenas. His meticulous approach to data analysis, creative problem-solving skills and insight into potential alternatives gives clients the tools they need to make realistic assessments of their needs.

As a founder in H-M Financial Services, Inc. (H-M), Mr. Murray has provided consulting and advisory services to an international clientele. Due diligence performed for the purchaser of an $81 billion commercial bank in Seoul, South Korea, including financial analysis; credit analysis; and loan grading for the largest bank in that country. Bill prepared market feasibility and tax studies related to the 650-acre Gateway redevelopment area in Salt Lake City. He also provided loan grading and risk analysis for the real estate portfolio of a $600 million savings bank. Other assignments included a complex facilities master plan for a $30 million real estate investment portfolio of a quasi-public mental health agency, and provision of expert witness testimony in five separate real estate and environmental cases.

Prior to forming H-M Financial Services, Inc., Mr. Murray served as senior vice president of Wallace Associates Consulting Group (1990 to 1996) specializing in contracting with FDIC, RTC and FSLIC and focusing on asset liquidation; troubled debt restructuring; bankruptcy; receiverships; and litigation support including providing expert witness testimony on complex commercial real estate litigation. At Wallace, Bill worked closely with government legal counsel to identify and mitigate legal ramifications of each business decision and action. In preparing legal counsel at the RTC and FDIC for litigation of complex analysis of lender underwriting; construction lending procedures; and allegations of misconduct; Bill worked exclusively with Receivers and trustees at these government agencies.
Mr. Murray’s relationship with institutional lenders from throughout the nation originated during his 17-year career in the commercial banking industry. As senior vice president of First Interstate Bank of Utah, he acted as chief lender and manager of the commercial banking department and was responsible for a commercial loan portfolio of $600 million. Under his management, the bank’s real estate loan volume increased by 70% over a six year period to $200 million. He also served as vice president of Western Savings & Loan Co., where he was responsible for the origination and sale of $40 million in real estate residential mortgage loans annually.
Mr. Murray earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in business administrative and finance from Carroll College, Helena, Montana, and attended the University of Montana Law School in Missoula.
