Background & Experience

Rod earned his CCIM designation in 1979 at the age of 29 years. Was a member of the international CCIM faculty for 15 years, retiring in 2012. Awarded best instructor “in the world” for CCIM faculty cadre based on student evaluation in 2011. Has trained over 800 students worldwide, teaching in markets all over American and foreign countries of Poland, Taiwan, and San Francisco.

CPM (Certified Property Manager) designation.

Only person in Louisiana’s history to serve on four appointed boards dealing with real estate:
1. Twice served on La. Real Estate commission. Former chairman of Real Estate Commission in 1985
2. Serve on La. Mineral Board
3. Serve on La. Tax Commission
4. Served on La. Board of Commerce and Industry.

Education

Rod graduated from La. Tech in 1971 with Bachelor in Science degree.

Major accomplishments in college include the following:
1. Gifted student, every grade above a B was a gift.
2. Married someone else’s high school sweet heart, Marilyn Bruyninckx in November 1971
3. As President of TKE fraternity, initiated Terry Bradshaw as an active member spring of 1970
4. Completed college in 4 years with exact number of required credit hours.
