Background & Experience
Yuji is a highly motivated and experienced real estate professional. He started his profession as an accountant after he graduated from University of Hawaii with BBA in Accounting, 1988. He started his career in commercial real estate as an administrative assistant over 20 years ago. With his accounting background and fluency in Japanese, he was able to take on accounting/book keeping position as well as property management position with Japanese owners. Over the years, he has managed a number of Class A and B office buildings as well as retail and industrial properties. He has acquired vast experience and knowledge in tenant retention and relations, lease administration and compliance, vendor negotiation and management, budget development and CAM reconciliations, development of safety systems and emergency procedures.
Yuji started his career with ChaneyBrooks in January, 2012. Due to his wide range of experiences in the property management and his bilingual skill, he was assigned to manage ChaneyBrooks’ flag ship Class A property, Waikiki Galleria Tower. His courteous tenant relationship, detail oriented workmanship, and his natural ability to get the job done in a timely manner has earned his trust among tenants and property owners. His current portfolio includes ‘Olelo Community Media, an non-profit local broadcasting, and two other commercial/retail properties.
Besides his outstanding job performance as a real estate professional, Yuji volunteered his time as a Scoutmaster for 4 years and currently holds his position as a high school Air Rifle coach for Pac 5 over 6 years. He is a State Junior Air Rifle Coordinator for National Rifle Association and Civilian Marksmanship Program. He enjoys his competitive rifle shooting and holds State Smallbore Conventional Prone Champion title for many years.
