Background & Experience
Mr. Sombrero is the President and principal owner of Chaney Brooks & Company, LLC. Throughout his career, he has worked as an international business and real estate consultant to many Fortune 500 companies and Asia based conglomerates.

He has been actively involved in real estate since 1987 and has worked on a variety of assignments throughout Hawaii, the Pacific and the Asian markets. He has successfully brokered several notable real estate transactions including multi-tenant residential projects, shopping centers, commercial office buildings and resort hotels. He is credited with brokering the single largest residential portfolio transaction in Hawaii's exclusive residential community, Kahala.

Mr. Sombrero is both multilingual and multicultural.

After graduating from John F. Kennedy High School in Guam, he received his Bachelors in Business Administration from CSULA. He received his MBA from the University of Hawaii. Mr. Sombrero is a lecturer at Shidler College of Business.

Mr. Sombrero is actively involved in many community, civic and professional organizations. He is director and member of the Okinawan Chamber of Commerce of Hawaii, the Japan American Society, the Filipino Chamber of Commerce of Hawaii, the Japanese Chamber of Commerce of Hawaii and Goodwill Industries of Hawaii. He is a member of NAIOP, ICSC and the JMA and is a trustee of the prestigious Crown Prince Akihito Scholarship Foundation.
