Scope of Service Experience
Rachel Howitt is President and CFO of NAI Capital, Inc., a leading commercial real estate brokerage with 14 offices throughout the 5 county region of Los Angeles. As the regionally exclusive NAI Global member, NAI Capital provides transactional services for the leasing and sale of industrial, office and retail properties, as well as the sale of land, senior housing and multi-family properties.
Background & Experience
Ms. Rachel Howitt has had a notable career in real estate that is tied together by 35 years of wide-range experience including metallurgical engineering, finance, and business development. It is with such experience that Ms. Howitt so successfully oversees all financial and administrative matters relating to NAI Capital, Inc. With over 26 years of experience leading the company, Ms. Howitt is also responsible for exploring strategic alliances to enhance the depth and scope of the services NAI Capital provides to its clients, including strategizing on company expansion plans.
Education
Ms. Howitt earned her Bachelor’s degree at University of Massachusetts-Amherst, attended Brown University Graduate School of Engineering with a concentration in metallurgical engineering, and was hired by Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Pasadena, CA. While working at JPL, she simultaneously received her degree from the UCLA Graduate School of Management.
Professional Associations & Designations
Ms. Howitt is a sustaining Board Member of the UCLA Ziman Center for Real Estate and a mentor to graduate students in the UCLA Anderson AREA Mentorship Program. She is an associate with the Milken Institute and is a past Co-Chair of the Tiger Club at Occidental College, which is the fundraising organization of the Athletic Department. Ms. Howitt is also on The Board of Directors and is Treasurer for Step Up 4 Vets, a non-profit organization started in 2008 to help our injured veterans returning home to reconnect with their families through the performing arts.
