Peter is qualified as a Chartered Town Planner and Chartered Surveyor with 17 years’ experience working on projects that include offices, residential, retail, mixed-use, hotel, energy and industrial schemes. He’s also a member of the Westminster Property Association Council and meets regularly with senior officers of Westminster City Council in this capacity.

Peter is an expert in the growing impact of the green agenda on new proposals, and as an Associate of the Institute of Environmental Management and Assessment he keeps up to date with this increasingly influential area.

Peters work covers a wide range market sectors, covering commercial offices, business parks, energy, mixed use residential, education, cultural, hotel and leisure, working alongside multi-disciplinary teams, co-ordinating the planning process to its successful conclusion.

Peter advises on conservation and listed building issues as well as providing expert witness services.

Peter has secured planning permissions on several large / high profile sites from the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden, to the Bank of England, to Swan Valley, Northampton.

Peter has secured planning permission for a range of high profile sites, including:

Stratford High Street
Peter advised on the development of this residential-led scheme at the gateway to the Olympic area where two buildings (35 & 15 storeys) have been proposed providing 191 private residential units, with commercial uses at ground floor. He’s negotiated with the two statutory authorities, LB Newham & the ODA, and given the height and prominence of this site, Peter had to undertake extensive consultations and discussions with statutory and non-statutory bodies such as CABE, the Environment Agency, British Waterways. The proposal to create a striking and elegant landmark mark buildings in this important location. As part of the project a landscaped public space will be created on the riverside with pedestrian routes through the site linking to the existing footbridge to the surrounding area.

Swan Valley Business Park, Northampton
Peter is providing ongoing planning and development advice on this business park adjacent to junction 15a of the M1. He has obtained planning consent for an 18,580 square metre distribution and sorting facility for the Royal Mail.

Richborough Power Station, Kent
Since 2008 Peter has been developing a site master plan for this former power station, which will include a 1,000 MW national grid inter-connector, a peaking power plant and energy from the waste facility.
