Scope of Service Experience
As Vice President for the Charlotte office, Mr. Barksdale is responsible for providing acquisition and disposition services for institutional owners and investors of commercial assets in the Carolinas. He is responsible for executing all phases of property underwriting and key client relationships as well as new business development. Additional responsibilities include market analysis and tenant representation.
Background & Experience
A native of Charlotte, NC, Mr. Barksdale graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Mr. Barksdale has over 11 years experience in the commercial real estate industry in the Mid-Atlantic and Southeast with an emphasis on commercial sales, tenant representation and development of Class A commercial properties. He has been involved in over 150 transactions exceeding $500 million in volume. Mr. Barksdale has completed transactions with companies such as CIII, J.P. Morgan, CommunityOne Bank, Regions Bank, Black and Decker, Bank of America, Wachovia, IRS, Wal-Mart, IKEA, Time Warner, Staples, Pepsico, Gap, Harris Teeter, Lowe’s Home Improvement, Lowes Foods and The Hartford.

Mr. Barksdale’s prior experience includes development, leasing and asset management as a Vice President of Lauth Property Group and Director of Leasing for the Mid-Atlantic and Southeast for Lauth Property Group. His initial professional experience was as a development and leasing associate for Charlotte based Crescent Resources, LLC, one of the largest developers of Class A retail, office and industrial properties in the Southeast.
