Scope of Service Experience
Mr. DiGiano has over 25 years of experience in public and private sector real estate development, directing marketing and lease-up programs of real estate assets owned by both public clients and private investors and institutions. In addition, because of his previous property management and development roles, he is able to effectively team with operations professionals to provide the necessary, multi-disciplinary approach to successfully manage and dispose of real estate assets. As NAI Hunneman’s primary point of contact with the NAI network, Mr. DiGiano directs his firm’s participation with other NAI offices.
Background & Experience
Mr. DiGiano served NAI Hunneman's Executive Vice President & COO from 2000 to 2015, overseeing brokerage operations and business development initiatives. Prior to 2000, he was the Director of operations for NAI Hunneman’s portfolio of commercial real estate properties under third-party management, ranging in size from 3 MSF to 5 MSF. He was also responsible for supervising property managers and accountants in preparation of property budgets, financial reporting, capital improvements, tenant retention programs, and construction management.
Prior to joining NAI Hunneman Mr. DiGiano was a Development Manager at Combined Properties. He oversaw development of office and industrial projects for developer with a 2 MSF to 3 MSF portfolio in the inner suburbs of Boston. Projects included leasing and fit-up for tenants such as Warner Cable, Staples, and Ryder Truck. He also served as a Development Manager for Lowell Development Associates, where oversaw industrial park development for the real estate company headed by former U.S. Senator Paul Tsongas.
As Director of Community Development for the City of Peabody, MA, Mr. DiGiano oversaw the development of the city’s Centennial Industrial Park, with $5 million of infrastructure improvements, $16 million in HUD Urban Development Action Grants, 300 acres of land sales, and 4 MSF of development with 4,000 new jobs. Responsible for the city’s downtown improvement programs, HUD Community Development Block Grant Program, city master plan, zoning and subdivision regulations, inspectional services and public properties.
