David Son recently joined NAI Michael as a Sales Associate. He brings 20 years of experience in the fields of legislative affairs, alcohol related judicial proceedings, and retail management.
Background & Experience
Throughout his career, David has served as a Commissioner for Prince George’s County Board of License Commissioners, overseeing establishments within the County that sell alcoholic beverages and adjudicating cases that involve violations and granting and transferring of licenses. He has also served as a Commissioner for Maryland Governor’s Small Business Commission, promoting sustainability and growth for small businesses in Maryland.
David has owned and operated Sunoco, Citgo, and BP branded gas stations, managing a cash flow of over $20,000,000 and overseeing a staff of 40 employees. He was selected to be a member of Dealer Advisory Council to represent interests of over 300 independently-owned gas stations in Maryland and received several high profile awards from the corporations.
Most recently, David was a Legislative Liaison in the Maryland State Senate for the 8 Senators of Prince George’s County. In this capacity, he managed their legislative and political agenda and successfully led a complex legislative process.
