Background & Experience
Amy Ford Olsen has called the Mississippi Gulf Coast home for more than 30 years. Her professional career began with a Bachelor of Business Administration Degree with emphasis in Management, Marketing and Business Law from Mississippi State University in Starkville, MS. She continued her education at the University of Southern Mississippi in Hattiesburg, MS where she obtained an MBA (Masters of Business Administration) Degree specializing in Marketing Research.

After graduation, Amy returned to the Mississippi Gulf Coast and began her career with GodwinGuice Advertising (a Division of the GodwinGroup). She advanced from Account Coordinator to Assistant Account Executive to Account Executive. As an Account Executive she supervised annual budgets, some in excess of $1 million. She maintained personal interaction with clients on a daily basis and acted as a liaison between client and art department for brand development and creative design involving TV commercials, radio commercials, newspaper and magazine ads, collateral production, outdoor boards and Web design. Other responsibilities included oversight of direct mail development and implementation, direct marketing research projects, and consultation on media buys including TV, cable, radio, newspaper, magazine, outdoor and internet.

Public Relations efforts for her clients included press releases to media contacts including the New York Times, the Wall Street Journal, USA Today, Clarion Ledger, Sun Herald, Southern Living, WLOX-TV, and other regional and local newspapers, radio and TV stations.

In 2001, Amy decided to venture into Real Estate, obtained her real estate license through the State of Mississippi and began as a residential real estate sales associate with Coldwell Banker Alfonso. In 2003 she went to work with Keller Williams MS Gulf Coast. During her time there she began to work with commercial real estate clients. In 2008, Amy decided to put a greater focus on commercial sales and was approached by Grubb & Ellis Sawyer Commercial with an opportunity to become an Advisor. In February of 2013, Grubb & Ellis Sawyer became NAI Sawyer where Amy currently provides services as a Commercial Real Estate Advisor.

Amy's commitment to service for her clients implements many proactive efforts including managing direct mail and newspaper and trade publication advertising for listed properties as well as self promotion. She has networks within local community to drive additional sales and develops and maintains effective business relationships with clients. She believes that consultating with clients often helps in improving property marketability and developing pricing strategies for individual properties.
